A specially curated selection of the Arts Council Northern Ireland Collection will be presented at the Ards Arts Centre. With over 600 works by established and emerging visual artists, the primary aim of the collection has been to raise awareness of and interest in the contemporary visual arts from Northern Ireland, and to encourage the commissioning and purchase of work, as well as providing patronage to artists. The centre will also show a solo exhibition of new work by Aly Harte, ‘Placing Importance on the Everyday’. Comprised of twelve drawings, it celebrates the everyday achievements of women through the routines of everyday life.
The Collection and Aly Harte: 5 December – 25 January
