Extracts from Mark Curran’s ‘The Market’ will be included in a new exhibition, ‘The Museum of Capitalism’ at the New School’s Parsons Gallery. The exhibition looks at capitalism through a series of exhibits, workshops, lectures and other events. ‘The Market’ incorporates photographs, film, soundscape, artefacts, 3D data visualisation and transcripts of verbal testimony in its entirety, drawn from the artist’s research in London, Dublin, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Addis Ababa. Established in the wake of the financial crisis, ‘The Market’ critically addresses the functioning and condition of the global markets and the role of financial capital.
The Museum of Capitalism: until 12 December
