Dutch artist Henk Heideveld exhibits portraits of key figures involved in Irish folk music and culture at the Siamsa Tíre, National Folk Theatre and Arts Centre. The sitters include Fr Pat Aherne, founder of the centre; Peadar O’Riada; and John Moriarty. Since its foundation in 1974, Siamsa Tíre has played a central role in Irish cultural life, supporting a core group of full-time players and visiting professionals working across multiple art forms.
