The Gorry Gallery is running an exhibition of Irish paintings with works from the 18th to the 21st centuries. Amongst the highlights are two captivating seascapes by marine artist Richard Brydges Beechey (1808-1895). Beechey used his training as a marine surveyor to expertly depict the ships in choppy water as they navigate around the Blasket Islands in Kerry. An exquisite double self-portrait by Italian artist Antonio Mancini (1853-1930) also features, which was once owned by Lady Gregory. It has not been seen on the market since the sale of her estate in 1932.
