Recent acquisitions by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland are exhibited at the Down Arts Centre, with work by some of Northern Ireland’s leading artists in photography, paint, print and silver. The centre also displays work by Valerie Giannandrea McKeag, whose work captures derelict industrial and agricultural buildings and discarded machinery, tracing the story of the region’s economic history. Another exhibition, ‘Ink on Paper’, showcases new work by the Belfast Print Workshop, the oldest printmaking collection in Northern Ireland.
