Artist Lauren White Murphy’s ‘LA Luxury’ shows distinctive and colourful works at The Custom House Plaza. Murphy came to painting after being diagnosed with MS two years ago while living in Los Angeles. Her work is influenced by the saturated and energetic colours and pace of LA life, incorporating themes from pop culture, film and animation, as well as the luxury found there – represented by the use of gold and diamond dust in her materials.
