Taking a bow to Théodore Géricault’s The Raft of the Medusa, Rita Duffy’s photomontage Advent of the Inevitable was created as a response to the pandemic, and Brexit, and is on display at the Crawford Art Gallery. Duffy’s piece can also be seen as part of an international online exhibition, ‘Complex States: Art in the Years of Brexit’, which is being hosted across fourteen countries.
