The Solas Art Gallery opens its spring season with two new exhibitions: Sean Kelly’s ‘DeProfundis’ and Pat Gillen’s ‘Trajectory’. Kelly is drawn to the archeology of ancestral sites, seeing the ground underfoot as nature’s diary, revealed through plant life, fossilised shells and mountain-top vistas. Gillen’s sculptural and painting practice is also concerned with the natural environment, rooted in the artist’s close observation of, and engagement with, his immediate surroundings.
