The paintings in Tim Goulding’s ‘Music’ at the Lavit Gallery take the motif of musical staves as a basic structure, building sound and orchestration through light colours (backing singers) and bold, solid colour (soloists). Rhythm is created through spaces and rests, with the colours drawing on hillsides in spring, to create an immersive musical world.
