Paul MacCormaic’s exhibition at the Courthouse Arts Centre in Tinahely shows a collection of icon paintings inspired by Byzantine and Renaissance art. MacCormaic presents a wry social commentary, drawing on imagery and themes from advertising, and attitudes towards body image, consumerism and affluence in contemporary society.
