Cecilia Danell’s third solo exhibition at the Kevin Kavanagh Gallery encompasses large, hand-tufted rugs and oil paintings inspired by her encounters with the landscape around her family’s farm in Sweden. Danell’s research into landscape and the psychology of place is combined with an interest in materiality and making, as well as the role of the environment in speculative fiction. The artist will be in conversation with Cristín Leach on 27 September.
