Miriam McConnon’s ‘Lost Lace – the Drawings’ at the Olivier Cornet Gallery coincides with the artist’s installation of the same title in Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens. Made in collaboration with poet Jessica Traynor and through community participation, the installation pays tribute to those who died during the pandemic and draws on the tradition of cloths or ‘clooties’ hung on trees near holy wells. The drawings give a rare glimpse into the artist’s practice and the process of preparing a large installation.
