Aoife Shanahan’s ‘BioTrace’ at Green on Red explores the impact of two diverse ecosystems colliding, and the resulting irreversible changes. With a strong interest in camera-less photography, the artist uses pieces of gelatin film, layered with nutrient agar and exposed to source bacteria to create abstract patterns.
