Yvonne McGuinness’ exhibition, ‘Rehearsals’, showing at the Butler Gallery, features new work in video and fabric and includes elements from the artist’s previous public performances. For this show, McGuinness worked with a local school and an inclusive theatre company in Kilkenny for six months, using movement, action and improvisation to encourage chaos and allow things to fall apart, only to be reassembled by her collaborators.
