Eileen Ferguson and Neal Greig exhibit ‘Area C’ at the Hamilton Gallery, showing the painters’ interest in marginal and border spaces in the landscape. Ferguson creates narrative works which are concerned with a sense of place and memory, and themes of isolation, occupation and walls drawn from her time in Palestine. In Greig’s work, layers of pigment are built up and eroded to create ghost images and a sense of unease and abandonment.
