‘The Visitors’, an exhibition of work by Marielle MacLeman at the Butler Gallery, explores loss and preservation in the context of current scientific efforts to improve native woodland. Taking a playful yet critical look at Ireland’s built and natural heritage, the artist has recreated a domestic scene overtaken by nature. She has worked with salvaged and scavenged materials to create an ‘indoor forest’.
