Paul Mosse’s ‘The Materialist’ at the Grilse Gallery, Killorglin shows paintings and sculptures created from mixed media and nontraditional materials. Inventive and idiosyncratic, Mosse is inspired by the energy, growth and seeming chaos of the natural world. Alongside paper, paint and wood, the artist uses plastic pellets, polystyrene, sawdust, nails and screws to build complex surfaces and textures.
