A major new exhibition at the Ulster Museum brings together fifty artists from Northern Ireland and beyond to showcase a broad representation of artists’ responses to the Troubles. The exhibition comprises sixty works, including paintings, drawings, photographs, videos and sculptures, that explore a number of themes, such as violence and destruction, suffering and loss and traditions and life during times of turmoil. ‘Art of Troubles’ has been developed in partnership with Wolverhampton Art Gallery and includes works from the numerous collections from both sides of the border as well as from private collections and the artists themselves. A number of activities will be held alongside the exhibition.
