Graduating in a pandemic

Degree shows are hopeful things – as much a buoyant assertion of things to come and a statement of intent for future practices as they are a summation of four years of study. A fi nal-year show is a critical moment of practical as well as emotional signifi cance for the students, so the class of 2020 have been dealt a harsh blow, having made it to the fi nal year of their degree just as colleges had to pause to cope with the pandemic. However, there is also productive potential in the critical moment.
