Drawing is at the heart of Inga Reed’s working process, but she is also fundamentally interested in and curious about the structure of things.
Understated is a word that could be applied to jeweller Inga Reed’s work. Yet this in no way implies conservatism or a lack of originality. On the contrary, her strikingly elegant designs reveal a delight in the potential of metal. Her attention to, and indeed fascination with, areas of jewellery that are traditionally concealed (the reverse side of brooches for example) indicates her exacting eye for detail and an interest in design that is clever as well as subtle.
