Supported by the Ballinglen Arts Foundation and Ballina Arts Centre, and in partnership with the Royal Hibernian Academy and Mayo County Council, Mick O’Dea’s ‘The Foggy Dew’ opens at the Ballinglen Gallery. Known for his paintings based on found and researched archival images, works in this exhibition come from O’Dea’s childhood experience of the 50th anniversary of the Rising, and show formal portraits of the 1916 leaders. A book Mick O’Dea, The Foggy Dew, with an essay by Ciaran O’Neill, will be launched at the opening.
