Since the 1980s, Anne-Katrin Purkiss has photographed dozens of sculptors, often in their studios. She photographed FE McWilliam Gallery in London in 1989, and now, more than 30 years later, the image hangs in a museum dedicated to the sculptor. A collection of over 40 of these images is on view in ‘Sculptors at Work’ at the FE McWilliam Gallery & Studio alongside works by artists such as Elizabeth Frink, Kenneth Armitage, Tim Shaw, Geoffrey Clarke, and Rana Begum.
