This June, Beaux Arts, Bath, celebrates still life painting, with an exhibition entitled ‘Still’ with work by practitioners from Ireland and Britain. In an increasingly distracted world, it is easy for still life to be overlooked or dismissed as a genre; however the works in this exhibition demonstrate its capacity for contemplation and capacity for depth.
