At the Ulster Museum, Ursula Burke presents ‘A False Dawn’, a culmination of her work in porcelain sculpture, embroidery and drawing. Burke often takes a post-conflict Northern Irish context as a critical point of departure to approach international concerns. This exhibition showcases artworks that act as a bridge to connect the classical ‘ideal’ with the ‘reality’ of today’s world. The museum also hosts Cornelia Parker’s ‘Left, Right and Centre’ exhibition as well as the BP Portrait Award 2019, including the winning work by Charlie Schaffer.
