The Linenhall Arts Centre presents an exhibition of paintings by Germanborn Markus Davies titled ‘Beyond and Between’. Davies’ paintings are an abstracted, interpretive response to the built environment through which he travels. Addressing the simple experience of movement in everyday life, his works in this exhibition are grouped around a series of themes and forms, enabling the artist to explore the nuances of colour, tone and texture. Drawing largely on the urban landscape, Davies strives here to create controlled, sensitive and beautiful objects.
