At the Linenhall Arts Centre, Mary Ronayne will exhibit paintings inspired from imagery collected from literary sources, old prints and paintings, photographs and magazines. Ronayne brings together a wide variety of source materials to create blithe, cartoon-like characters and spaces. Using enamel paint, there is a Hogarthian quality to her work, hinting at farce, satire and allegory.
