At the Townhall Cavan Gallery, William Bock exhibits ‘Rising’, a series of new photographic and film works made during a year-long residency spent on the banks of the River Shannon in County Clare. Depicting people that he met along the estuary coastline, Bock draws on the expression ‘clean mud’, used locally to describe a type of silt easily removed from clothing, to make connections between the landscape, community, and heritage of this region.
