Cavan might be known for its many lakes, but sun, sea, sand, and seagulls are not normally the preserve of this border county. This July, artists Siobhán Harton and Mark Lawlor will change this, installing ‘Seagulls’, an installation transforming Cavan Town into a seaside idyll. Maritime-inspired watercolours, prints, and digital projections are on display in the Townhall Cavan Arts Space, with additional series of installations around the town. The town’s iconic Old Abbey will be transformed into a lighthouse for the duration of the installation.
