Rita Duffy presents a trilogy of large-scale works at the Crawford Art Gallery that address themes of planetary crisis and political chaos. Duffy uses humour to interrogate history and politics, and her work is influenced by Surrealism and Magic Realism. Works on show include Epiphany and Ship of Fools, which have their genesis in the artist’s series of small, satirical drawings, ‘The Emperor Has No Clothes’.
