Marking its 30th anniversary, IMMA is showcasing its collection through a series of exhibitions. ‘The Anthropocene’ considers the present era and some of the key challenges of our times: globalisation, health crises, colonial histories and the displacement of indigenous groups. Following on from this, ‘Social Fabric’ and ‘Protest and Conflict’ showcase artists’ use of different materials to offer spaces of resistance and activism, and the use of protest to subvert power and shift the narrative.
