Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane, working in partnership with the National Gallery, London, presents ‘Eva Gonzalès is What Dublin Needs’, the first exhibition about this extraordinary artist in Ireland. As well as examining Gonzalès’ complex relationship with Édouard Manet, the exhibition explores the challenges faced by women artists in 19th-century Paris and beyond, and also features work by Sarah Cecilia Harrison, Berthe Morisot and Milly Childers, among others.
