‘When an Engineer Imagines’, an exhibition at the Dundalk County Museum, celebrates the life and work of the engineer Peter Rice. Born in Dundalk, Rice worked on many of the landmark architectural projects of the second half of the 20th century, including the Sydney Opera House, the Pompidou Centre, Lloyd’s of London, and the inverted pyramid at the Louvre. Despite this portfolio, little is known about Rice and his work. This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to view and celebrate the achievements of one of Ireland’s greatest engineers.
