At Glór in Ennis, a new touring exhibition, ‘30 Years, Artists, Places’ curated by Muireann Ni Chonaill and funded by the Arts Council, celebrates the thirtieth year of local authorities providing for the arts within communities. Featuring thirty artists, and travelling to thirty places, the exhibition seeks to tell how each work came to be purchased, commissioned, or acquired by local authorities. Featuring work by a range of artists, including Alice Maher, Norah McGuinness, Cora Cummins, and David Stephenson, the exhibition will reveal the nature and scope of local authority collecting over the past thirty years.
30 Years, Artists, Places: 7 – 24 December
