At Die Möglichkeit einer Insel, Berlin, a group of artists takes the work of Joseph Beuys as a shared point of departure, exploring the topics of landscape, ecology, shamanism, magic and the sociopolitical agency of the citizen, and showing how Beuys’ main concerns resonate among a new generation. The participating artists in ‘Irish Energy’ are: Chloe Brenan, Laura Fitzgerald, Myfanwy Frost-jones, Saidhbhín Gibson, Shane Hynan, Sheena Malone, Seoidín O’Sullivan, Laura Skehan and Ciarán Walsh.
