At the Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum in Matsue, forty Irish and Japanese artists respond to the ghost stories of Patrick Lafcadio Hearn (1850–1904), also known as Koizumi Yakumo. Participating Irish artists include Alice Maher, Ed Miliano, Kate McDonagh, Richard Gorman, Stephen Lawlor, Niall Naessens and Eimearjean McCormack. Using printmaking and photography, each artist has engaged with a story from Hearn’s masterpiece, Kwaidan.
