This spring, Letterkenny Regional Cultural Centre shows work by Orla McHardy, encompassing animation, film, and sculptural installation. This new series is inspired by the artist’s return to Donegal from America, and takes the people and places of Donegal as its point of departure. Using the idea of the landscape and its features as steadfast observers of changing times, the work examines the theme of returning, the cycles of time, and the process of trying to make sense of a place that is at once both known and foreign.
