The Limerick City Gallery of Art presents three exhibitions running concurrently this summer. ‘Mary Swanzy: Voyages’ continues its journey around Ireland, following successful runs at IMMA and the Crawford Art Gallery. The display includes over forty works by the pioneering modernist painter. Landscape paintings and drawings in Robert Ryan’s ‘Forgotten Existence’ explore themes of solitude, vulnerability and the cycle of life. The latter of these connects with work by Fiona O’Dwyer, which examines migration, movement and displacement, rooted in a visual and sound language.
