In association with the Barbara Stanley Gallery, an exhibition of Anthony Murphy’s work will show in The Doyle Collection’s Lutyens-designed Bloomsbury Hotel. The exhibition will show 20 of Murphy’s foremost pieces for a three-month period. Born in Buenos Aires and living now near Carcassonne, France, Murphy came late to painting after a career as a child actor and later as a lawyer. Inspired by his regular visits to Galway as a young boy, his paintings use a strong tonal palette to depict a variety of subjects from still life to everyday activity.
