‘Painting with Acid’ at the Ballinglen Museum of Art features work made by Norman Ackroyd over a period of fifty years. Exploring his relationship with the west coast, the exhibition follows the intricate process of creating prints – from the initial idea through the preparatory drawings and watercolours, the transfer to a plate and first proofs. Works on paper, plates and instruments create a rhythmic pattern along the gallery walls, reflecting the artistic process.
