At the Solstice Arts Centre, Navan, ‘Gvozdene Kapije (The Iron Gates)’ by Barbara Knežević examines the history of the Iron Gates region on the Danube River. Film and sculpture tell a fragmented history of human development, origin stories and geopolitical shifts in the region and set the artist’s family stories against the larger historical narratives of the Balkans.
