In ‘Forest’, at the Norske Grafikere, Oslo, Eamon O’Kane explores psychoanalysis, creativity and our relationship with nature in a series of screen-prints entitled ‘The Baum Test’. The title refers to a method from 1952 where patients were asked to draw a tree on a blank sheet of paper: the drawing was then used to evaluate their personality. O’Kane experiments with mirroring his own drawings, to create a forest of eerie-looking trees drawn from the subconscious.
