The Centre Culturel Irlandais presents ‘En attendant’ from Tomi Ungerer, the Alsace-born artist who has lived in Ireland for over forty years. A draughtsman and satirist of international renown, Ungerer’s work has been greatly influenced by his experience of World War II. Over the last sixty years he has produced over 140 publications and 40,000 drawings that reflect his passionate abhorrence of violence and war. This exhibition showcases a selection of his most recent collages and sculptures created in his West Cork studio.
