‘The Battle of the Book’ at the Hamilton Gallery marks the 1500th anniversary of the birth of St Colmcille. Drawing on the story of the saint’s dispute over a copy of a psalter, the exhibition features work from artists Diarmuid Delargy, Catherine Fanning, Kate MacDonagh, Brian Mc Donagh, John O’Connor, Mary Plunkett and Maureen Quinn inspired by the Colmcille story and its legacy.
