Jack B Yeats had a lifelong affinity with the sea, seafaring and pirates, expressed in his work through entertaining and joyful scenes, characters and creations. The gift to the Niland Collection of a wooden linen chest lined with sea-themed watercolours by Yeats has now been conserved by Patrick McBride. These works are now on display at The Model alongside the original chest and his collection of model and handmade boats.
