New works by Bernadette Kiely at Source Arts Centre are inspired by Leo Tolstoy’s ‘How Much Land (does a man need)’ a story that tells how one man’s grasping rapaciousness leads to his downfall. Kiely interprets this in relation to personal and familial relationships to place, creating work that depicts the changing landscape, the nature of perception, and climate-related forces.
