Eamon O’Kane’s ‘anarchive’ at the Source Arts Centre, Thurles explores the idea of an archive. Using materials from his personal collection, O’Kane reorders and redefines the hierarchies that are normally accepted and intrinsic within these repositories of information, drawing on Wolfgang Ernst’s concept of the ‘anarchive’, which challenges an institutional approach to authority and archival arrangement.
