‘Saints and Goddesses’ at the Purdy Hicks Gallery, London, features the work of Alice Maher and French artist Celine Bodin. Maher’s watercolour series ‘Women in Ecstasy’ reimagines iconic paintings by artists such as Caravaggio and Gentileschi, capturing female saints in moments of rapture, while Bodin’s series ‘Venus Variations’ explores the diverse representations in art of Aphrodite and Venus.
