Greyfriars Art Centre presents ‘Mainie, Evie, Mary and Grace’, and exhibition of works by Ireland’s pioneering modernist painters, Mainie Jellett, Evie Hone, Mary Swanzy and Grace Henry. With works from private and public collections, the exhibition shows how the modern art movement in Ireland was forged largely through the work and ongoing influence of Irish women artists during the first half of the 20th century. Later in October, the gallery will show recent works by Bernadette Kiely, as part of the Waterford Imagine Festival.
