At the Wexford Arts Centre, Mary-Ruth Walsh’s ‘Skin Deep’ investigates the idea of skin as a substance and metaphor using collage, film and sculpture/installation. Walsh’s interest in architecture informs her work on skin and the artist draws parallels between the two; for example, through the idea of ‘skin’ as a façade, and through boundaries created by impassive screens and veneers.
