Judy Carroll Deeley’s paintings in ‘Mine Lands: Glendalough and Glendasan’ at the Mermaid Arts Centre, Bray explore former mining sites in Wicklow and their historical, religious and industrial heritage. The artist got to know the valleys through years of hiking through a landscape that appears wild, but that has been worked and managed for hundreds of years.
